Grawiki
A collaborative writing platform that invites users to share their knowledge and experiences with others

The most extensive project, with a larger number of iterations, and spanning all stages of my learning journey.

Experience
  • 💪The best project: I consider this project to be the best I've worked on due to the number of iterations, adjustments, challenges, redesigns, and custom implementations that took place as time progressed.

  • 🎨Creative skill: As time advanced, iterations were carried out, and what worked with team members was observed. It was necessary to think of new ways to facilitate the work and, at the same time, enhance the project's quality.

  • 📱Desktop and mobile design: The desktop version is the most important for both writers and administrators, but the mobile version remains crucial for readers. Hence, both versions were necessary.

  • 👥Teamwork: In addition to collaborating with the UX design partner, teamwork with the frontend team was significantly strengthened to ensure effective integration of the design system with development.

  • 🚀Future improvements: In addition to collaborating with the UX design partner, teamwork with the frontend team was significantly strengthened to ensure effective integration of the design system with development.

Outstanding idea

The project began in October 2022 for ID for Ideas, an organization that brought people together to create a simulation of a real workplace environment for project development. From its inception, they provided the main project idea and its requirements. With a team covering roles like UX/UI, Project Manager, Frontend, Backend, and DevOps, our goal was to bring it to life. Throughout the project, there were constant changes in the team composition, with Kevin Grassi and Sonia Ruiz always in charge of the UX/UI part. These changes were challenging as some people left the project for various reasons. In the end, María Villen took over both frontend and backend.

We went through numerous iterations, from the initial idea to the completion of this version. Initially, we planned to create a single web page that would allow people to edit topics they generated, but we realized that for security reasons, it wouldn't be appropriate to allow users to do so without an account. We also understood the need for users to have a profile and a system for reactions to edits, differentiating it from other similar platforms. Later, we decided to develop an admin panel to control the platform and, at the same time, incorporate OpenAI technology for post validation. The process was long and exhaustive, as initially, the project had a UI KIT, but we opted to produce a Design System to refine the entire project.
